Developed a new design for the vestibule/lobby due to an inadequate supplemental heating system by modifying the existing steam coil air handler, increasing the discharge air temperature and air volume. Fabricated and installed the necessary duct work and equipment based on our design recommendations.

Modification of Heating System

Developed a new design for the Federal Building, Library Building and Annex Building due to an inadequate heat supply. Modified the existing combustion air duct intake combustion air fan and variable frequency drive, based on Calculations and code requirements. Recommended and installed a gas fired make up air unit. Installed additional fin tube based board heat. Recommended and installed reheat coils with flow control valves.

Medical Gas System Replacement

Replaced the existing medical air and vacuum system source equipment with new air compressors, desiccant filters, carbon monoxide monitor, dew point monitor, vacuum pumps,replaced various medical gas zone valves, installed new and expansion of existing medical gas master alarm and area alarm panels, an emergency oxygen connection and applicable medical gas piping and electrical additions/revisions.

Inpatient Pharmacy, University Drive

Improved the functions of the inpatient pharmacy and corrected JCAHO cited HVAC deficiencies related to the Chemo and IV preparation work areas along with replacing AHU-5, which was approximately 20+ years old. The HVAC System was replaced with a new system in compliance with requirements of the JCAHO endorsed, "U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) 797", concerning Clean Rooms in Pharmacies. Construction was addressed in phases to allow Pharmacy operations to continue during construction to the fullest extent possible. Work included phased general construction/demolition, structural steel alterations and additions, concrete construction, mechanical and electrical work, casework, utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction. This work included architectural, mechanical and electrical modifications for IV prep and corrected the M&R need for AHU replacement in compliance with updated codes for the Inpatient Pharmacy.

Furnished all materials, equipment, labor and expert supervision to perform electrical work and upgrade the emergency electric system, in campus, in accordance with the drawings, specifications, Scope of Work and contract documents. Work included replacement, installation, and re-circuiting of numerous electrical receptacles, light fixtures of numerous types, switches, and miscellaneous equipment including the associated conduit, wiring and boxes. Also included was the installation of a new 100A, 24-circuit, main lug only panel including circuit breakers.
